from linguistics to literature: a linguistic approach to the study of linguistic deviations in the turkish divan of shahriar
chapter i provides an overview of structural linguistics and touches upon the saussurean dichotomies with the final goal of exploring their relevance to the stylistic studies of literature. to provide evidence for the singificance of the study, chapter ii deals with the controversial issue of linguistics and literature, and presents opposing views which, at the same time, have been central to t...
15 صفحه اولNanostructuration strategies to enhance microelectrode array (MEA) performance for neuronal recording and stimulation.
Microelectrode arrays (MEAs) are widely used tools for recording and stimulating extracellular neuronal activity. Major limitations when decreasing electrode size in dense arrays are increased noise level and low charge injection capability. Nanostructuration of the electrode sites on MEAs presents an efficient way to overcome these problems by decreasing the impedance of the electrode/solution...
متن کاملRespiration of Rat Peritoneal Mast Cells
Methods for microgasometry of a few hundred mast cells are described. The Cartesian ampulla diver technique is used. The sample size is determined by counting the cells within the diver. The respiration rates at 37 degrees C, expressed in microliters per cell per hour, are 0.29 x 10(-6) without substrate and 0.47 x 10(-6) with glucose.
متن کاملNative heparin from rat peritoneal mast cells.
[35S]Heparin was produced in vitro by incubation of rat peritoneal mast cells with [35S]sulfate and in vivo by injection of [35S]sulfate into rats. The [35S]heparin together with nonlabeled heparin in the mast cells was isolated in native form by mild methods that avoided the use of proteolytic enzymes or high alkali concentrations. The heparin had low anticoagulant activity. Incubations of mas...
متن کاملGlycolysis in Rat Peritoneal Mast Cells
Glycolytic activity of rat peritoneal mast cells has been measured by the Cartesian ampulla diver technique. The rates of anaerobic glycolysis, expressed as CO(2) expelled from a bicarbonate medium, are 1.70 x 10(-6) microl and 1.43 x 10(-6) microl per cell per hour with and without glucose, respectively. The aerobic glycolysis rate in the presence of glucose, assuming the respiratory quotient ...
